On behalf of Bethany Fire Department, thank you for visiting our page. WE ARE HERE TO SERVE THE PUBLIC, WE ARE here for them, the citizen. We thank our community for the continued support over the past 51 years, all who have served and their families.
While experiencing life’s milestones, many are born into a community, that helps to raise them, instilling values and life skills from a young age. A community, especially a rural close-knit community, is in ways a network of multitudes of families connected by a community, a lifestyle, friendships. The feeling of community, being one, commitment and dedication has existed in our community for many, many generations, many families, by blood or by common stock.
We have all seen or been a part of something bigger than yourselves, something for the betterment of others. We have those community members who have gone off to war, to fight for our Great Country, those that teach our wonderful children, care for us when we are sick or pray for us when we are down. This very commitment, drive and dedication is why volunteer fire departments exist today. We would like to thank all who served in any capacity over the past 50 years. A special thank you to their families, our community and partner organizations.
Through the years our department, communities, state and nation have gone through much tragedy. We have had members severely injured, we have had members, retires, past members, community supporters all a part of our FD family, pass away. All these individuals made a lasting impression on us as individuals, a community and a department. May 30, 2022 we lost Brandon Yaeger while on duty at st 240. We are all one family drawn together not necessarily by blood but by the greatest calling God asks of us and that is the service to others.
It is a true honor to stand before you today as a member of the best group of men and women, The Bethany Fire Department. Remember to have a kind, friendly and open demeanor. Smile as much as you can. Kindness and happiness are contagious.
Respectfully,
Perry
